Portland Flea-For-All is a weekend flea market in the heart of Portland, Maine. It is the brain child of locals Erin Kiley & Nathaniel Baldwin, whose hope is “to build a resource that will divert waste and nurture the spirits of creation & restoration.” With this the idea of the flea was born to bring together Maine’s creative community in a single location where they can sell their goods that range from hand-made crafts, to furniture, antiques, clothes, jewelry, food delicacies and much, much more.
"This is not your mama’s flea market." With this in mind the creative direction clearly needed to be youthful & free, while maintaining a nostalgic charm associated with the concept of a flea market. The logo became an embodiment of all the various objects one can stumble upon at the market.
Additionally, as sustainability is a primary founding ethic for the flea, we decided to extend this throughout the identity. Instead of printing business cards, rubber stamps were custom designer for the members to use on Manila tags, in addition to any other loose scraps of material that can be reused. This provides endless creative possibilities while also remaining true to the principles & values that the flea was created upon.
